Abstract The SA106C steel bar for high pressure boiler tube was developed by the scrap＋70%-80% hot metal- 100 t UHP EAF- 120 t Duplex LF- VD- CC- CCR process in Laigang. By controlling the operation parameters of arc furnace steelmaking, EBT tapping and alloying, shielding casting in whole period, high rolling compression ratio and no- twist rolling with minimum tension, the steel bar fully met the requirements of customer with good microstructure, inclusions and surface quality.
